A safety light curtain (also known as a safety light screen) is a non-contact safety protection device used in industrial automation scenarios. The working principle of a safety light curtain is based on the emission and reception of infrared or visible light beams. It typically consists of a pair of transmitters and receivers, which, through precise alignment, form one or more beams covering the area to be monitored. When a person or object enters the area, the beam is blocked, and the receiver immediately detects this change and triggers the safety system. Its core function is to form an “invisible photoelectric barrier” around hazardous areas of equipment (such as punch presses, robotic arms, conveyor belts, etc.). When a person or object intrudes into this area, it immediately triggers
equipment shutdown or an alarm, preventing safety accidents.
